Tiny Circus travels during the fall and spring months to host stop-motion animation workshops for all ages at schools and universities, art and film festivals, museums and galleries. A core group of Circus members facilitates these traveling workshops.
Tiny Circus came to Decorah for the 2015 Oneota Film Festival thanks to a grant from the Iowa Arts Council and local support from Winneshiek County Recycling and The Depot Outlet.
Tiny Circus visited the area prior to the film festival, working with 8th graders from North Winn and 5th graders from St. Ben's. The film was shown before every film set on Saturday and Sunday at the festival so that everyone could see the fine collaborative work of Tiny Circus and local students.
The video on this page is that film! Every project is unique and made from the ground up by local students. It was a great opportunity for students to learn the creative and film making process, and for everyone in the community to appreciate that all our children are above average.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT, here's the Tiny Circus film "The Three Pathways” produced for OFF '15 and our sponsors. Enjoy!
